Moving Devices to a New Location

Most devices may be moved to a new location by changing the Cabinet and Position information in the device Physical Infrastructure box. Blades may be moved to a different chassis by updating the Parent Device and Position information in the Physical Infrastructure box. Once the changes have been made press the Update button to complete the process.

Devices may also be moved by using the Copy button on the Device form to copy the device to another rack location. The new copy will be marked Reserved. Once the device is physically moved the original device may be deleted and the Reserved designation removed from the device in the new location. Power and network connections should also be added as needed.
